Clear records. Named owners. Exceptions visible.
The operating problem
Order, stock and settlement records can live in different systems. This concept gives each handoff an explicit record, owner and exception path.
The design
A channel adapter maps incoming data to a common order record. Validation rejects incomplete records before allocation. Fulfilment updates refer to the same order identifier. Settlement lines are matched using agreed rules; unresolved differences enter a review queue.
The controls
Use delegated access, stable identifiers, duplicate protection and an audit history for important changes. A failed update must be retryable without repeating a completed action.
How it would be validated
Test duplicate orders, insufficient stock, partial fulfilment, delayed settlement and fee adjustments. Agree expected outcomes with operations and finance before connecting live accounts.
No live marketplace account, operational data or client result is represented. Technology selection and delivery scope would follow discovery.
